I like my weird friends, but can we spay the willfully stupid strangers?
Seen on a car in Newport, Oregon.
I'm not a slacker, I swear! I've just had to make a choice between enjoying my trip and writing about it. However, I have been taking lots of photos, although my camera broke when I arrived in Eugene -- so I have no photos of my lovely high-school pal River, her partner Jordan, or their three cats. :-( I hobbled along using my phone camera until Bend, where I snagged the 2006 version of my 6-year-old sadly defunct Sony Cybershot. The good news: this one has a zoom!
Because a phone camera is not conducive to quick snaps and my new toy came with a very limited battery charge, not pictured are the herd of elk (adults of both genders, and babies!) that crossed the road in front of me as I drove through the Cascades toward Sisters, OR. Nor did I capture the quail that did the same thing yesterday near Fossil, or the flock of black and white birds with long tailfeathers that flew beside me around sunset last night. I did get a couple of critter pix, though. Any help identifying species of flora or fauna is most welcome; I've a terrible memory for such things.
New photos are up -- many are labeled, others I will get to as I can. Enjoy! And feel free to leave comments.
Oh yeah, and I am having a blast!!!
